Email Fraud, supposedly from Maruti Suzuki!!

My sister received a job offer from Maruti Suzuki today. All she had to do to secure the position was to pay a refundable security deposit of Rs. 16,900/-, and she would land up with a job paying anywhere between Rs. 62,000/- per annum to Rs. 20,00,000/- per annum! Seems like a bargain, does it. Thankfully, my sister smelled a rat and forwarded the JD to me for comments. The idea of sharing ideas!!

Sticking to the theme of my last two posts, I now come to what I think is the most powerful idea I will probably write about. This is not a business though. It is a non profit venture. And it does not deal in any form of product or service we normally think about. It deals with what I have been writing about – Ideas! The setup I want to talk about does not create ideas, and neither does it sell ideas. It does not even fund ideas, though of late it has started assisting people bring their ideas to life. So what does it do? Simple. It shares ideas. And that I think, in itself is a very powerful idea. With this venture I have come to know about people I wasn’t aware existed, differences I wasn’t aware were made, dimensions and facets I hadn’t thought of looking at. Sachin - 1 of 100 most influential in 2010..Really?

We, the Indians, never cease to amaze me with our gullibility. We are very easily swayed by our hearts, and all rational flies out the window at slightest opportunity. And this holds true for even the well educated people, and not just those who don’t know any better. During US Presidential elections majority of Indians rooted for Obama , even though his policies were in no way pro-India! In the long run his policies would’ve hurt the Outsourcing industry, which is on a boom in India . Later, when this same Obama was awarded Nobel Peace Prize few months into this Presidency, we severely criticized Nobel Committee, as Obama had done nothing to deserve the prize. Well, for a change we were right in our stand. Obama had not deserved the award by any stretch of imagination.
