Follow Your Dream

Follow Your Dream ================= Before you look for things to change... look deep inside your soul. The Lord has given you all the clues... always follow your dream. Inviting trouble is so easy to do... it happens without warning. Avoiding problems is easier said than done... always follow your dream. Sometimes things just turn out bad... and you don't know where to turn. The answer is as close as your heart... always follow your dream. Hope has always been the key... it's sometimes our only hope. When things are darkest and looking bleak... always follow your dream. Only the Lord has all the answers... and he shares them with only a few. But faith is as close as we sometimes can get... always follow your dream. Perhaps you feel the end is near... and you've done everything you can. Never give up, anything can happen... if you always follow your dream. -- "Some men see things as they are.. and ask why.. I see things as they might be... and ask why not?" ----

Carrots... Egg and Coffee

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose. Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil, without saying a word. In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me what you see." "Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied. Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. The m

Sunset at the Beach

SUNSET AT THE BEACH Here I have come to wage war with the tide but I am swept up in wonder that won't be denied. I fall from my feet to sit in the sand to absorb all this splendor that is stunning and grand. The heavens are afire with crimson and gold. There can't be more beauty that one can behold. The surf is caressing like a lover's soft kiss I am caught up in passion that no one should miss. The warmth of the sun as it fades from the sky is gentle and soothing as it bids me goodbye. My soul takes flight to soar with the breeze as my heart is filled with such comfort and ease. No worries or cares could you bring to this place for it's very majesty is your redeeming grace. I am so very glad that I came here this day for I came here to battle but decided to play. Can you not feel what I am feeling? Come sit next to me. Let the earth share of itself so that you too are free. -- "Some men see things as they are.. and ask why.. I see things as they might be... and a

Of moments gone (An eligy for time)

Of moments gone (An eligy for time) by Shobhana kumar All that remains now are remnants of you, A memoir of memories of what could have been Some bric-a-brac and trivia once held dear A platter of emotions unfelt and unseen You lie now, gnarled and garbled in my veins In wisps of white that streak my thoughts, I watch you slip by, moment by moment And lament the loss of the life I have lost Sad, I imagined you'd wait all eternity And that I could always relive and rewind And now, as you advance hour after hour, All I do is replay dreams in my mind Alas you have gone, leaving me to mourn The unopened treasures that lie before my eye And now I will tick away into oblivion soon My memory, a portrayal of a sad, petty life O come back to me, just once I pray, For I promise to unlock each of those treasures Give me some time just one more time, To savour a little of life's million pleasures .. a beautiful poem.. isnt it?? :) -- "I walk a lonely road The only road that I've

U can always make a difference

Make a Difference Once upon a time there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work. One day he was walking along the shore. As he looked down the beach, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself to think of someone who would dance to the day. So he began to walk faster to catch up. As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man and the young man wasn't dancing, but instead he was reaching down to the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean. As he got closer he called out, "Good morning! What are you doing?" The young man paused, looked up and replied, "Throwing starfish in the ocean." "I guess I should have asked, why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?" "The sun is up and the tide is going out. And if I don't throw them in they'll die." "But, young man, don't you realize that t

Some Poems to share...

Some Poems to share.....   Never say you are happy, when you are sad. Never say you are fine, when you are not okay. Never say you feel good, when you feel bad. Never say you are alone, when i'm still alive.   If time slips away without a word from me. You don't have to worry about our relationship because feelings beyond words will always keep me around you.   Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. The love we give away is the only love we keep.   Introduction is possibel anytime Love is possible sometime Marriage is possbile onetime but you is possible once in a life time.   Friends can live many miles away but the bond of love and friendship formed long ago always keeps them close at heart.   Friendship is like the relation between the hand and the eyes, its like when the hand gets hurt the eye cries and when the eye cires the hand wipes it's tears.   If i have a book of Life, I know that y

Money, money &money only.. Don't Lose Money!

Don't Lose Money! Brian Tracy Throughout the history of American enterprise, you've heard the words, "work hard and save your money." Work hard and save your money. It is the oldest rule for success in America. It's so important, as a matter of fact, that W. Clement Stone once said, "if you cannot save money, then the seeds of greatness are not in you." Saving is a Discipline Why is it that saving money is so important? Because saving money is a discipline and any discipline affects all other disciplines in your life. If you do not have the discipline to refrain from spending all the money that you earn, then you are not qualified to become wealthy and if you do become wealthy, you'll not be capable of holding on to it. The Law of Attraction A principle with regard to saving your money is the law of attraction. The law of attraction is activated by saved money. Even one dollar saved will start to attract more money. Here's what I suggest that you

In the Eyes of a Child

In the Eyes of a Child by Rachelle Arlin Credo      It was way past 10:00 pm when I came home from a grueling day of schoolwork and extracurricular activities. The wind was rustling about overhead as I paced through the door of our humble abode. I moved towards the nearest couch and plumped myself to rest. Defeat and exhaustion filled my frame as I laid back against the soft cushions. I was about to close my eyes when I remembered our Hematology project which was due the next day. I stood up and set out for the personal computer situated on the other side of the room. Just then, my brother Michael dashed out of his room and went straight at me. "Ate, can you help me with my assignment? It's about the seven wonders of the world," he blurted out while staring at the paper in his grasp. My brother's words didn't seem to filter through my mind at first. My attention was so riveted at the computer screen that my brother had to nudge me and pull the tip of my blouse

Too many times we forget what we have and concentrate on what we don't have. What is one person's worthless object is another's prize possession. It is all based on one's perspective. Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for all the bounty we have, instead of worrying about wanting more. Take joy in all you have, especially your family and friends. They are our treasures!

24 Interludes of Life

1. Don't go for looks, they can deceive. Don't go for wealth even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile. 2. There are moments in life when you really miss someone that you want to pick them up from your dreams and hug them. Hope you dream of that someone. 3. Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go, be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want in life. 4. May you have...Enough happiness to make you sweet Enough trials to make you strong Enough sorrow to keep you human Enough hope to make you happy And enough money to keep you comfortable. 5. When one door of happiness closes, another opens. But we often took so long at the closed door, that we don't see the one which has been opened for us. 6. The best kind of friend is the one you could sit on a porch, swing with, never saying a word and then walk away feeling like that was the best conversation you've had. 7. It's true that we don

Love is...

Love is... More beautiful than roses Much deeper than the seas Stronger than a hurricane But timid like a breeze Real as in a picture But yet it can't be seen More beautiful than anything As vivid as a dream Love is strong yet delicate. It can be broken. To truly love is to understand this. To be in love is to respect this. Love feels no burden, thinks nothing of trouble, attempts what is above its strength, pleads no excuse of impossibility... It is therefore able to undertake all things, and it completes many things, and warrants them to take effect, where he who does not love would faint and lie down. Love is watchful and sleeping, slumbereth not. Though weary, it is not tired; though pressed, it is not straitened; though alarmed, it is not confounded... Love is the passion that we feel inside of our hearts that we can't hide. We pretend to hide it, but it burns us more and more until the pain grows and grows and it never ends. Love is... Wh

LEARN::: Silence,playfulness,receptivity

Silence Learn silence. And at least with your friends, with your lovers, with your family, with your fellow travelers here, sit in silence sometimes. Don't go on gossiping, don't go on talking. Stop talking, and not only on the outside - stop the inner talk. Be in an interval. Just sit, doing nothing, just being presences to each other. And soon you will start finding a new way to communicate. And that is the right way. Start communicating through silence sometimes. Holding the hand of your friend, sit silently. Just looking at the moon, feel the moon, and both feel it silently. And see, a communion happens - not only communication, but also a communion. Your hearts start beating in the same rhythm. You start feeling the same space. You start feeling the same joy. You start overlapping each other's being. That is communion. You have said without saying anything, and there will be no misunderstanding.   Strangers You have to accept the fact that you are living alone

Successful Future - Save A Small Amount of Your Salary

In the classic book "The Richest Man in Babylon" by George Clason, we are told to put aside 10% of our earnings in order to guarantee our future financial security. We now live almost as long after retirement as the length of time we had worked before retirement. Make the most of those years and saving something (even 1%) of your salary every month. Make sure that it automatically is debited from your account and credited directly to your investment plan. Then leave the money alone and forget about it until you need it. Just make sure that every time you get a raise in salary...increase your savings accordingly. Action Point: How will you begin the financial plan that will secure your future? The easiest way to divert money into your retirement 'fund' is to look at all of those little amounts that you regularly spend on things you don't really need. Do you really need a newspaper every day? Do you need to buy a coffee on the way to work?  Do you really need to eat

A Coffee Cup

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university lecturer. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the lecturer went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups: porcelain, plastic, glass, some plain-looking and some expensive and exquisite, telling them to help themselves to hot coffee.   When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the lecturer said: "If you noticed, all the nice-looking, expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones.   "While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress".   What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the better cups and are eyeing each other's cups." "Now, if Life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. T

THE CAB RIDE

Twenty years ago, I drove a cab for a living. One day I received a call for a pickup. When I arrived at 2:30 a.m., the building was dark except for a single light in a ground floor window. Under these circumstances, many drivers would just honk once or twice, wait a minute and then drive away. But, I had seen too many impoverished people who depended on taxis as their only means of transportation. Unless a situation smelled of danger, I always went to the door. This passenger might be someone who needs my assistance, I reasoned to myself. So I walked to the door and knocked. "Just a minute", answered a frail, elderly voice. I could hear something being dragged across the floor. After a long pause, the door opened. A small woman in her 80's stood before me. She was wearing a printed dress and a hat with a veil pinned on it, like somebody out of a 1940s movie. By her side was a small nylon suitcase. The apartment looked as if no one had lived in it fo

A lovely lesson for life!!!!

A lovely lesson for life!!!!         A student asks a teacher: What is love? The teacher said: in order to answer your question, go to the paddy field and choose the biggest paddy and come back. But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick.   The student went to the field, go thru first row, he saw one big paddy, but he wonders....may be there is a bigger one later. Then he saw another bigger one... but may be there is an even bigger one waiting for him.   Later, when he finished more than half of the paddy field, he start to realize that the paddy is not as big as the previous one he saw, he know he has missed the biggest one, and he regretted. So, he ended up went back to the teacher with empty hand.   The teacher told him, this is love... you keep looking for a better one, but when later you realize, you have already miss the person The student asked: What is marriage then? The teacher said: In order to answer your question, go to the corn

WIT AND WISDOM

TACT : Tact is the knack of making a point without making an enemy.   CHARACTER OF A MAN : You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him .    WHO COMES BETWEEN THEM :  Marriage resembles a pair of scissors, so joined that they cannot be seprated : often moving inthe opposite direction, yet always punishing anyone who comes between them.   ANOTHER CHANCE : Resisting temptation is easier when you think you will probably get another chance later on .   EXAMPLE OF TOLERANCE : The most impressive example of tolerance is a golden wedding anniversary.   FRIENDSHIP: Friendship is the green hill by the side of life's dusty road.   UNLESS ONE WEAR'S A SMILE : One is not completely dressed unless one wear's a smile. -- "Life may not be the party we had hoped for... But while we are here, we might as well dance." ---- G.A.

Life.........

Sometimes you got to smile and walk away hold in your tears and pretend you r ok.   It happens but life goes on. Our reason for living is not in the things we acquire, but in the collection of memories, loves and friendships we gain along the way.   Do you ever get that feeling where you don't want to talk to anyone & you don't want to smile & you don't want to fake being happy but at the same time you really don't know what's exactly wrong either?   One mistake can ruin your life, but it depends on how you take it, you can take that mistake and turn it around and learn from it. Have courage. When u says i love u doesn't just say it because u think u r in love because if u don't really mean it u will only end up hurting the person that u say u love. Sometimes people have hurt us. We ask ourselves, "Why me?" I say, "Why not me?" The things we go through in life happen for a reason and help prepare us for the next step in li

~*~ Well of Hope ~*~

Well of Hope There is a spring within us That wells up when we're dry… It flows when we are emptied, And the spirit groans and sighs... Rain on me, Living Water, So thirsty is my soul, Oh come and quench my spirit, Breathe life to make me whole… I am so heavy laden, Weighed down from every side, Burdened by such baggage, And hampered by such pride… Rain on me, Living Water, So thirsty is my soul, Oh come and quench my spirit, Breathe life to make me whole… Come, sever all these shackles That fetter me to sin, Restore me to Your presence, Come fill my soul again… Rain on me, Living Water, So thirsty is my soul, Oh come and quench my spirit, Breathe life to make me whole Sharon Frye       -- "Life may not be the party we had hoped for... Successful Future - Focus on what you like....

Successful Future... Focus On What You Like, Rather Than What You Don't Like The easiest way to dig yourself out of a rut is to focus on what you have got going for you, rather than what is against you. We spend most of our waking lives getting stressed over things that we don't like about ourselves, or situations that we have got ourselves into. For example, instead of complaining about why you are poor...force yourself to focus on what you can change so that you will NOT be poor in the future. Action Point: Why are you not letting yourself live to your full potential? Write down those things about yourself that you like... or that other people have commented on. Now write down three ways that you can improve on each one. Make a decision to work on a different one every day. ask yourself the following question....every day... What you have done during the past 4 Hours to reach your Goal ? The answer what you get will put you on the winners track... Spend just 5 minutes every
